EVO
Next
generation desktop-based "access grid" and video conferencing
technology.
EVO
is a PC-based multipoint collaboration tool which features advanced
videoconferencing, as well as a host of integrated tools to facilitate
collaboration between researchers and educators. Groups of three or more
geographically distributed people can synchronously communicate using audio,
video and instant messaging, exchange files, work on a share virtual whiteboard
and share their own computer screen. EVO carries forward many of the
ideas pioneered by Access Grid <link to http://www.accessgrid.org/>.
EVO can be deployed in meeting rooms, teaching spaces and on your desktop.

Enterprise wiki.
The Confluence
Enterprise Wiki is one of the newest additions to the Monash University collaborative research space. Confluence is an enterprise
wiki created by Atlassian that provides a secure, stable and customisable wiki environment for users, and
relies upon the Monash LaRDS research data store, which provides reliable long term preservation of
data.
As a highly-developed and professional-level wiki,
Confluence provides access to a number of useful tools and features which include
the collaborative creation and modification of both internal and external
web pages and wiki pages, and also provides the following:

Optiportal
Visual collaboration system.
Monash
Micro Imaging, as a result of an ARC linkage grant between Monash scientists
and Leica Microsystems, has established an optiportal in its Image Analysis
& Visualisation Lab in the STRIP at Clayton. The optiportal, comprising a
46 megapixel tiled screen was established in collaboration with Monash
e-Research Centre (MeRC), and will allow researchers to visualise high
resolution microscopy images at full resolution while also viewing the entire
image.
